Bi Annual Update

Sorry - our er .. updates seem to be more like annual occasions than anything else. But fortunately we have friends who remind us that our life hasn't gotten anywhere in blog world for months. Which brings me to the present.

I was right - CT WAS fun in the summer. Living near the beach is really nice, and Greenwich does beach very well. If I ever download the pictures from our digital camera (something else that falls under the "needs improvement" category of my life), I will show you just how pretty it is here.

But alas, days are shorter, nights are colder and Paul and I have realized that we are a teensy bit bored here in the suburbs. We have exhausted pizza delivery - I feel like they may start calling us when they don't hear from us in a few days. But it is really the only delivery CT provides. Plus, not only does the dry cleaner not deliver, they don't take credit cards. ???. !!!! What's a girl who lives her life by points to do? It's not that we had a rolicking social life in the city (most nights found me safely ensconced on my couch in front of reality tv du jour). But we had the OPTION of having a rolicking social life. Or at least of eating dinner out past 9 pm. Or getting mexican food for lunch on a Saturday. So, yes, there could be some improvements. On the other hand.

It is absolutely delightful to have so much space. Beyond delightful. And windows that look out on grass and trees! And neighbors only next door to you rather than on both sides, above, and below! And two cars! (more on that one to come) And full size grocery stores and kitchens! And multiple bathrooms! And washer and dryers that work without quarters! And lots and lots of closet space for your shoes!

So there are plenty of good things out here in the suburbs after all. We just need to remember them when we feel that suburban ennui coming on. Any maybe find another dry cleaner.
